DATE: Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2025
TIME: from 9 am to 6 pm - with a one-hour lunch break
LOCATION: Elberfelder Str. 5, 10555 Berlin (Moabit)
During this 2-day workshop, you will create an 1890s underbust corset learning all the techniques step by step. We provide the corset pattern and it will be designed following the measurements you will give us. The workshop will be taught in English but we do speak also German, Italian, and Russian. Every participant will be personally guided in the process of making his/her/their own corset.
The workshop is intended for people who already have some sewing skills, which means stitching with the machine and by hand, and some knowledge about basic sewing. But don’t worry, you don't need to be a professional. We will help you and guide you through the whole process.
PRICE AND MATERIAL
The price for the workshop is 300€
The price includes:

All the materials you need to create the corset (corset fabric, busk, high-quality plastic bones, threads, metal grommets, lacing) for a value of ca. 40€

The pattern of an 1890s underbust corset with an instruction booklet for a value of 25€

The use of all tools and sewing machines at the studio

A written text with an introduction about historical corsetry

16 hours in the studio with us where we will be happy to share our knowledge, answer questions, clear doubts
If you have it, please bring your sewing kit ( measure tape, needles, scissors, chalk etc…)
